4.2 kg empty, nowadays it doesn’t leave much useful load.
Ryanair is very tight for there one luggage so sad😔 all the rest have a couple of inches wider why can’t they do that 🤔😔

The personal item travel bag that is supposed to fit under the seat didn’t fit under the seat on my Air France flight. Maybe it would have if it was half empty. Mine wasn’t at full capacity but still didn’t fit. It was too tall. Besides that, the bag is great. First trip with it though so we’ll see!

I haven’t been pulling out my quart of liquid containers at the security for years… they’ve never asked me to take them out or flagged me for not doing it, so I don’t. This is for both US domestic and international flights 🤷♀️

I don’t do the quart bag thing and TSA has never said anything. I usually just do TSA approved sizes with no problem.
Not sure how many countries would allow this seeing as max carryon limit is 7kg and the bag itself weighs 4kg. Yeah don’t think this will work. Unless countries / flights allow more than 7kg.
You didnt mention thow many kgs the extra bag should be. And what will happen if I bought some souvenir items? Can i still carry them all?

hard sided carry-on bags are not working the last couple of years in Europe because they have reduced the size and reduced the weight of carry-on luggage.
I’ve been an international traveler for over 30 years and the last couple of years people have been horrified that their brand new hard sided carry-on that their favorite fake travel expert on YouTube recommends and gets money for every time somebody buys one
has to be checked because of it, larger than the acceptable dimensions and grossly overweight.
Only way to travel in Europe now is with a soft sided case and you have to watch the weight limits
as low as 7 kg and a lot of these garbage hard sided carry-on bags with just a couple of items in it already tips the scales over 7 kg which means you will check it and you will pay extra fees.
I didn’t know the one on wheels is considered carry on

I wish I didn’t love variety so much but I love to have lots of options. Mexico would be easy, other places not so much.
I have a level 8 without the separate laptop pocket. I can attest to the wheels being great. In fact, they are so smooth my kid has had to chase after it as it wants to roll down any incline. It’s also sturdy enough that he can sit on it and i can push him one handed (he is 10).

What is considered a liquid? I saw you put your mascara in the ziploc bag as a liquid…. I can’t find the info on Air canada website.
I’m a very large woman so my clothes take up SO much more room. Yet another reason to slim down. 🙂
Number 1 issue is weight limit for carry-on bags. Only 7-8kgs are allowed and a normal trolley empty weight is 2.5-3kgs so you are only left with 5 kgs. And if you keep your laptop also in carry on bag then you are only left with around 3kgs bc most laptop weighs around 2-2.5kgs. So I would appreciate any hacks to carry more weight without being charged

It seems North America is so bad at losing people’s checked luggage. I’ve travelled extensively and quite a fair bit in Asia. Never a single lost or misplaced luggage.

I seen in the video that you were on WestJet with the first suitcase the level 8. WestJet baggage allowance is 9 inches across – this looks a lot wider – luggage is 10.2 across- how were you able to get it on the plane?

Your personal item is the size of my primary bag. Go even lighter and avoid the annoying roller bag wheel noise on city streets.
Level 8 is heavy …..only allowed 7kg
For international travel
1. Do all airlines allow a personal handbag/backpack and a carry-on bag?
2. Do all airlines do not weigh the handbag/backpack and only weigh the carry-on bag in the 7kg carry on weight limit?
3. Do all airlines not weigh whatever we are wearing like coat/sweater, phone, headphones, watch, etc.?
A first time watcher of your channel, I most appreciated your brief but to the point travel ideas and will continue tuning in. However, on this episode I was most interested in the “small container bags” you held up, but disappointed you didn’t “know what to call them.” When I’m viewing learning channels I keep names of products first and foremost to search quickly before I forget. The first time I realized that I could travel comfortably with carry on only was 15 years ago. I haven’t checked a bag since. I’ve spent three weeks in Australia AND two weeks in Antarctica without checking a bag too. I even packed my expedition parka on the way home! 🌟
